This is a wonderful example of an Astrological compass. The copper disc is covered in Astrological and mathematical engravings. There are the names of the astrological constellations and letters and numbers arranged in charts.
The Astrolabe comes in a beautiful, non periode, wooden box with decorative botanical and animal woodcarvings. The inside is lined with red velvet.
