This Persian Astrolabe is from the Qajar era. It consist of a mater with throne and suspension shackle on top. The front side is decorated with calligraphy, mainly corresponding to Iranian cities, Arabic letters and astronomical calculations.
On the back are the names of the star signs and the names of the planets.
The Astrolabe bears the name of the owner Hajj Siraj and is signed by the maker Munir Khan (or Mir Khan).

Condition: in very good condition, although it is missing its rete and plates
