Hand illuminated Ottoman Calligraphy 1870 AD

An Ottoman era, ornate calligraphy with marbling and hand illuminations. It is dated 1286 HD (1870 AD) and written by Abdul Salam Efendi. He was a Damascus student, and his teacher was Mehmet Şakir Efendi.

The text is an Arabic Hadith about the virtue of Zikrullah: He who cuts flavor increases the commemoration of death. Because the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, ‘Because If you understand it in narrowness, Allah will widen it for you and make you satisfied with it
