17th century Iznik, Ottoman Nicaea plate. It has a flat rim and round shape with a concave body and ringed bottom. It is colored white paste and white slip. The underglaze decorations are in cobalt blue, turquoise, green and earth red colors and the contours are black. The edges are decorated with stylized geometric motifs and the inner surface with floral motifs. The back has a continuation of these decorations.
Similar examples are in private collections.
Dimensions: diameter 26,5 cm and the hight 5,5 cm.
It is in reasonably good condition, espscially concidering its age.
