This is a 18th to early 19th century gold-plated (tombak) work from the era of Sultan Mehmed Reşad.
Gold-plated (tombak) works are rare, because the gold plating technique was highly toxic. Working with arsenic and mercury meant the artist would seldom live longer than 10 years. The plating masters were therefore mostly selected from Ottoman prisons.
