A fascinating Qajar lacquered papier-mâché box with playing card. The side of the box is painted with flowers and birds while the top of the box has a hunting scene and a musical scene. There are 29 cards al with different pictures, some more vibrantly colored than others.
The set was made in Persia in the 18th century or earlier.
The box is 15,8 by 5 by 2.7 cm.
